Update on Wounded Warrior Tennis Annual Camp event:

Things are beginning to shape up for the upcoming annual Tennis Camp in the Spring. The hard work being done behind the scenes by all those involved including our program director, Steve Kappes has been remarkable.  The USTA Foundation continues to be an outstanding donor along with local tennis clubs and many others.  If you would like to make a donation to this annual worthy event please visit: www.sdwoundedwarriortennis.org/donate.html
Recent fund raising events:
Morgan Run Tennis Club and Resort 2018 Warrior Games:

This event was a hugely successful event with several participants from around the county competing in this annual Warrior Games event! The dedication and generous commitment by those at Morgan Run Country Club was tremendous. Together with the coordination and hard work of WWTP Volunteer Beth Dammeyer made this day one for the history books!  We are continually looking to connect with other tennis clubs that might be interested in hosting and putting on fundraising events for the WWTP; Wounded Warrior Tennis Program.
Again, this upcoming year’s camp will be hosting more then 50 disabled veterans from across the nation with their expenses paid. Every year, the program committee members face the difficult challenge of obtaining donated resources from the community, organizing volunteers, and coordinating travel and lodging for the campers. And do have a few dedicated community friends that offer their commitment to the program by providing meals and activities, etc. Big thank you to Balboa Tennis Club, San Diego Air and Space Museum, Crown Plaza Hotel, Subway, El Unico, Old Mission Beach Athletic Club, and many others.

We look forward to another successful event and hope to help make a positive impact on the lives of these extraordinary military veterans who served our country.
